Business Owners Can Now Easily Track Checks From Deposit Through Returns Using One Online System
Expanded partnership between Heartland Payment Systems and transmodus delivers more robust remote deposit capture and returned check processing solution to business owners.
Princeton, NJ February 25, 2008 Through an expanded, exclusive partnership with transmodus, an on-demand, online check services processor, Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE:
HPY) has introduced a complete end-to-end remote deposit/online check recovery and collection solution for business owners who receive paper payments. Heartland delivers credit/debit/prepaid card processing, payroll and payment solutions to more than 162,000 businesses nationwide.
By enhancing its bank-neutral remote deposit capture product Heartland Express Funds business owners can now track the entire check clearing process from remote deposit capture through returns processing and the collection of bounced checks. Done through a single seamless online portal, users have real-time access to all reporting and the ability to customize their check clearing preferences. This enables them to avoid any additional manual processing, trips to the bank and the additional expense associated with the deposit and collection of checks.
According to Tony Capucille, director of check services at Heartland, transmodus now serves as the exclusive provider of check management technology driving Heartland Express Funds. Likewise, Heartland serves as the exclusive distributor of the product.
"We are very pleased to be teamed up with transmodus to bring business owners a new level of check services processing power. Heartland Express Funds is a single web system that automates every step in the process and provides real-time reporting to meet the needs of any size business," he noted.
Express Funds takes as little as five minutes to install. Once set up, manpower labor is reduced to simply scanning a check. The rest of the process is handled by transmodus´ automated web systems. Business owners are provided login access to real-time reporting that tracks every check throughout its life cycle which can include collections all the way to the District Attorney.
"Our systems have been live on the Internet processing check transactions since 2002. We view our addition of this enhanced functionality as the last piece in the puzzle. As the exclusive distributor, Heartland with its national sales force of 1,500 will ensure its clients, transmodus´ clients and business owners nationwide benefit from advanced, scalable solutions that assure efficient, cost-effective handling of checks," says Richard McShirley, chief marketing officer at transmodus.
