transmodus Adds Multiple-Level RDC Split Pay Functionality
OXNARD, CA- September 21, 2010 - transmodus, a technology leader in network-enabled remote deposit and check management automation, today announced the addition of new functionality that enables multiple levels of payment splits during the remote deposit scanning process. This functionality is ideal for businesses that apply check payments to more than one person or ledger account.
A prime example of this would be for property management, where a check payment might apply to rent, utilities and more. Another would be in healthcare, where a single check from an insurer to a doctor's office may include payment for several people. Utilizing this function while scanning check payments combines the deposit and posting file creation into a single action, thereby eliminating double entry.

"The more work-saving functionality that we can incorporate at the point of the deposit, the more value RDC delivers for our clients and partners. This split pay functionality takes what is normally a labor-intensive manual process and makes it faster and easier, and puts the data into a form that expedites payment posting," says Robert "Jay" McShirley, CEO of transmodus.
The service is available through a Web service for vertical software partners and directly to users of Heartland Express Funds through the transmodus powered scanning interface.
