In
September of 1998 the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA)
made a change in their rules allowing NSF Checks to be recovered
electronically.
This process is referred to as RCK (check representment).
Using RCK you can convert an NSF check into a format for electronic
representment.
As a registered transmodus
user you can utilize the Automated Clearing House
network (ACH) for representment to debit your customer's account for the
face
amount of the returned check, your bank fees, and a state regulated
recovery fee.
Compliance with NACHA guidelines
As a registered transmodus
user you will have direct access to the tools used
by the best electronic NSF check collection firms. As a result you will
retain
more money per successful collection. Continued access to the ACH network
requires compliance with NACHA guidelines.
