Title: DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 UDB DBA)
With at least 5 years experience as a DB2 DBA with strong UNIX and performance tuning skills

Core Skills: DB2 UDB v8.x/9.x, UNIX (Linux)
Additional desired skills: Linux, IBM Websphere, MQSeries, SAN Storage Management.

Job Requires:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong planning and project management skills
• Monitor health and proactively manage all databases (DB2 UDB v8.x,9.x) UNIX
• Strong performance tuning skills
• Experience as both a development and production DBA in a DB2 UDB UNIX environment (DB2/Windows experience is a plus)
• Ideally strong UNIX administration skills and knowledge Linux scripting
• UNIX system administration tasks
• Working knowledge of storage products is a plus (IBM, EMC)
• Experience developing information requirements
• Must be experienced with modeling tools, conceptual and physical database design
